SoftPerfect WiFi Guard

SoftPerfect WiFi Guard scans an IP range and detects all the devices that are connected to your network. This way you can have a clear view of all the devices that are connected to your network. From the Settings menu you can set it so that SoftPerfect WiFi Guard automatically starts with the operating system, specify how often SoftPerfect WiFi Guard rescans the network, pick a sound to play on detection, and set it so an email notification is sent out when unknown devices are detected.

SoftPerfect WiFi Guard runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. To get it up and running on a Windows-powered machine, you will have to go through a standard installation process: download an installer, run it, follow the onscreen instructions presented by a setup wizard.

When the setup wizard is done installing SoftPerfect WiFi Guard and you launch the application for the first time, you will be presented with the Settings menu. Said menu is divided into three sections:
Basic – select a network adapter, choose how many devices to simultaneously scan, choose how often the network is scanned, enable the option to automatically launch at startup and minimize the application to the system tray, disable the option to automatically check for new versions.
Advanced – pick a custom IP address range, select a sound to play on detection, get webpage title from HTTP enabled devices.
Email – set it so an email notification is sent out when unknown devices are detected.

After SoftPerfect WiFi Guard scans your network, the main panel on its interface will list all the devices it finds. The list includes the following info: IP address, MAC address, RTT, name, info, vendor. Double click an entry on the list to view its Properties. Left click an item on the list to be presented with a context menu that features two options: Properties and Copy.

And now, a quick list that focuses on the functionality SoftPerfect WiFi Guard has to offer: scan your network and view all connected devices; view the IP and MAC Address for all the devices that are connected to the network; connected devices are marked as known (green) and unknown (red); view a list of all devices ever seen on the network; set it so the application plays a sound on detection; set it so the application automatically launches at startup; set it so the application notifies you via email when it detects unknown devices; pick how the MAC address is displayed; choose one of many languages for the interface; save the list of devices as a TXT.
